Review of Gods of Egypt (2016) by Farah R — 26 Mar 2017
It's quite difficult to describe this film as anything else but painfully weird. For a tale set in Ancient Egypt, there's so much potential for spectacular costumes and breathtaking sets. Instead Gods Of Egypt is nothing more than overbearing VFX and a terribly unintelligent script.
I wouldn't call what the actors did acting either as there's hardly any effort in the stupidity they were performing. It's extremely disappointing that the filmmakers focused on creating a load of nonsense instead of telling a magnificent story about the Egyptian culture and their beliefs.
