Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by Jacob S — 19 Apr 2016
I actually watched this twice; I usually do this to see what I am missing. Frankly, the quality could have been better for a movie which was released in theaters. However, I find the elements were quite powerful none the less.
This film showcases a lot of powerful elements missed by most who have narrowed points of view; this can mainly be determined by a lot of the critical reviews. It is my personal experience that faith, Christianity in general gets a lot of flak.
I can still remember taking biology in college and was given a 'C' grade due to not wanting to participate in several projects involving the theory of evolution. I also remember hearing a news report which stated that individuals tend to leave their religious roots in order to 'get educated' in the cities tend not to value ridiculous concepts such as marriage or narrow minded thinking.
However I find that to think individuals who have faith in something are 'uneducated' make those who think that way more ignorant than the bigots they make out men and women of faith to be. As for this movie the message is strong and viewers agree it is worth a peek.
