Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by Bryan J — 18 Oct 2014
This movie has many faults, including a ridiculous plot, overly simplistic characters (except for the main character), stereotypes towards asians and muslims that could very understandably be taken the wrong way, quite preachy, often one sided and overly cheesy (especially at the end of the film).
However, the main basis of the movie, the part that took place in the philosophy classroom, was very well done and moving. I know fairly little about the philosophy of the argument but all the logic and reasoning seemed very legitimate to me.
Others may see fault in it but I found it very enlightening and refreshing. For that alone I give it 3 stars.
