Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by Sherry Z — 28 May 2015
The standards for religious (and anti-religious for that matter) continue to be lowered as believers (and non believers) are willing to give terrible films a pass as long as they're in line with their beliefs.
God's Not Dead pushes that further than ever, from the Duck Dynasty couple appearing for no good purpose, the Christian Rock band concert hastily thrown into the end scenes, to the Muslim convert character who's conversion is given no dramatic arc or attention and serves no purpose except as a jab at her previous faith.
Simply put, the Almighty deserves a better defense than this mess.
