Review of God's Not Dead (2014) by Scorpyon — 07 Jun 2017
I went into this film with some trepidation, wondering if they were going to ruin it in the same way that they did with Nicholas Cage's abysmal performance in Left Behind. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find that this was one of the most enjoyable films I have seen in a long time.
It has Kevin Sorbo and Dean Cain in it: what's not to like? There are a few cheesy moments, but that's to be expected in a low budget movie. Of course, there will be a majority of dummy-spewing atheists giving this movie a 0, but that's no shocker there.
Not to mention downvoting this review, I'm sure! Heh! But if you want to know what being a Christian is REALLY like in the secular world, this is it. Ignore anyone who claims that Christians aren't margialised in public - it's easy to claim there's no prejudice when you're on the giving end! The amount of students I've spoken to that talk about these sorts of experiences in university is a sad evidence of this film's truth.
