Review of God's Not Dead 2 (2016) by Eloy S — 18 Apr 2016
For some reason Christian movies draw negative reviews from people who obviously didn't see it. I saw the movie and full disclosure I am a follower of Christ. The movie is based on real cases that have come before the American courts but the story and characters are fictional.
There is continuity with the original movie with some side stories being extended from the original but the main story is entirely different and unrelated to the original. Thus as a sequel they didn't take the easy route, they actually created a new story.
The acting was excellent as all the actors are professional actors. I liked the movie and it stays pretty close to reality. There was one part of the movie that might be overkill where a bunch of angry protesters were yelling at some kids who were staging support for the main character.
As of yet we have not reached that level of degradation in this country though it may not be far off. As for proselytizing, I think it's ridiculous to criticize a Christian Movie for having a pro-Christian Message.
The movie isn't so much a Salvation message as it is a strengthening of Christianity.
