This movie shows how hard it is to start a new life in a different culture, where you know nothing or nobody, where people discrimate against you, and where you have to overcome trauma from a war. Three of the four boys ended up working low-paying jobs, and one ended up going to a psychiatric ward, so I hope that he has recovered.
This movie made me want to reach out and help people. (Shamefully, I chuckled at the way that the Lost Boys knew nothing about electricity ("hard to use"), running water (not knowing what a shower looks like), etc.
).
