Review of God Bless America (2012) by Zandra E — 14 Aug 2012
This movie can best be described as Goldthwait's social manifesto mixed with his darkest fantasies. While we all want to stay positive, sometimes the state of the world does push you to the "fuck them all" point.
Unfortunately, the pace of the film does not match up to the fantastic commentary delivered by Joel Murray. The characters in this film unfortunately remain very one dimensional and although you may root for the anti-heroes, you also feel nothing for them at the end.
Oh how I wish this was done as a short film instead. It would have said the same with more impact.
