Review of God Bless America (2012) by Jonathan G — 23 Sep 2012
This movie makes me smile. Yes; it's wrong and half of you will think it's possibly the darkest, most disturbing movie ever made. It's called satire, and it's funny. Don't take it too seriously.
Comedian, Bobcat Goldthwalt hit a writer/director jackpot here full of American sentiment from the perspective of a citizen that couldn't take it anymore. He begins his downward spiral with obnoxious reality stars, guys that take up two parking spaces, and people that talk on the phone during movies.
It's like your fantasies all coming true... but in a wrong kind-of way. Watch the trailer and if it doesn't make you want to go see it- then don't. Otherwise you'll absolutely love it.
Very American- whether that's good or bad.
