This movie is based on William Shakespeare's play tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, but has garden gnomes in it so that suggests the title for us. The movie fails because, the two families, the Montagues and the Capulets are meant to be as bad as each other but, it makes the red gnomes (Capulets) the villains and the blue gnomes (Montagues) the good guys.
There are a few good creative aspects to the movie like, the lawn mower sequences. A movie that is hit- and -miss.
