What a very pleasant surprise this movie was. A very creative take on the classic story, this film is the definition of fun, and stayed fresh while giving nods towards the original story throughout the film.
Add in Elton John themes throughout the film, and you have a winner! I never thought I would be an advocate for a gnome movie about a small gnome war, but this movie was nearly on the level with toy story.
It sounds wild to say that, but put the same movie out under the pixar name, and it would suddenly be lauded, I have no doubt of that. Loved it!
