Review of Gnomeo & Juliet (2011) by Jamesnwa — 21 Feb 2011

I don't tend to make a habit of going out to see children's animations but I'm pleased I did. I must admit that I was expecting to be bored within 10 minutes but this was no way the case. It is clear that the demographic for the film is a younger audience but it is also made in a way that enables it to be enjoyed by people outside of the demographic too.

I for one enjoyed the film and didn't at all think it ruined the Romeo and Juliet story at all. Children of this age will not know the Romeo and Juliet story in as much detail as an older audience would.

They'll be watching the film for the film not for an animated adaption of Romeo and Juliet.
