Review of Glory Road (2006) by Dave C — 10 May 2009
A few decent and believable performances and its source material (it tells the true story of the Texas Western basketball team) give this film some weight as more than just your average sports films. It's not great, but it's decent, and perhaps the emotional weight behind the teams symbolism and achievements towards fighting racism over shadow the film itself, which is decidedly safe.
But that being said, its got enough entertaining basketball footage to keep you watching.
