Review of Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) by Peter A — 03 May 2009
What can I say. Superb script, fantastic performances especially from Jack Lemmon and a stunning finale. The backstabbing and dog eat dog world of the post eighties thatcherite property boom is perfectly captured in this adaptation of a David Mamet play.
The plot twists and turns and leaves you truly in suspense. The characters are reprehensible as they lie cheat and steal to sell real estate to people who can ill afford it. A lesson for our times.
