One reason I like David Mamet's films - like the Coen Brothers, he can make a dialogue-heavy film extremely engaging. This is a perfect example of that.
Then again, it doesn't hurt that this movie has a hell of a cast: Al Pacino, Kevin Spacey, Alan Arkin, Alec Baldwin, Ed Harris, Jude Ciccolella, and Jack Lemmon(in his final major film appearance).
