Review of Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) by Sabra E — 20 Apr 2011
Though it has the minimalist feel of being directed on a sound stage, Glengarry Glen Ross packs a powerful f-word addled punch.
The punches backed with enough testosterone to power a city steamship, the actors in this: Pacino, Lemmon, Harris and especially Baldwin with his amazing "motivational" speech at the preset, take the opportunity to showcase their acting chops, sputtering a wild spectrum of vile male drama.
The dialogue flits and ebbs on wavelengths of uncomfortable desperation. The loudmouth, the passive aggressive pencil pusher waiting for his day, the slacker who thinks he deserves it all--what a showdown of glimmering mayhem.
