Review of Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) by Sayer F — 13 Feb 2014
Of all the things that David Mamet has been a part of on screen, this adaption of his play is definitely the best. The script, obviously, is awesome, and Alec Baldwin steals the show. Probably not a top ten film for me, though.
I share the sentiment that Desson Thomas of the Washington Post laid out: everything is awesome, except the atmosphere. As seems to be the case with most Mamet-related fare, the events are notably isolated.
Everything happens and stays between the characters with dialogue. There are hardly any extras, if any at all.
