Review of Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) by Kevin R — 16 Jan 2015
I'm here on a mission of mercy.
A group of struggling sales men of land in Florida, think timeshare type properties, are presented with new monthly sales goals where first prize is a Cadillac, second prize is steak knives, and everyone else is fired. The men become extra desperate to close sales, which leads to a series of unfortunate events.

"Fuck You, that's my name.".
James Foley, director of Who's That Girl, The Chamber, Fear, The Corruptor, Perfect Stranger, and an entire season of House of Cards, delivers Glengarry Glen Ross. The storyline for this picture is very well done and presents the setting and unique characteristics of each character perfectly. The presentation of each character as well as the script is perfect. The acting is also amazing and the cast includes Al Pacino, Kevin Spacey, Jack Lemmon, Ed Harris, Alec Baldwin, and Alan Arkin.
"I'd wish you good luck but you wouldn't know what to do with it if you got it.".
I grabbed this off Netflix because I had never seen it and I am a Pacino fan. I was thoroughly impressed by the pace, storyline, and subplots presented throughout this film. The story comes together awesome and the interactions between each character is dramatic and very well presented. I worked in credit card cold calling sales myself, and I can tell you it is very tough not to cheat, and this film displays the pressure of sales perfectly! I strongly recommend seeing this underrated masterpiece.
"Your excuses are your own.".
