Review of Glass (2019) by Brad H — 20 Jan 2019
As a huge fan of Unbreakable, Split, and M. Night in general, I found myself underwhelmed by Glass. It was a steady, yet unspectacular, ending to a trilogy that deconstructed the conventional comic book formula.
Almost as if there was just too much ground to cover in a 2 hour film, the story is unbalanced - no shortage of build up in the first half, but then an unsatisfying rush to the ending. Powerful and timely thematic elements and another top-notch performance by James McAvoy make Glass a must see if you are a fan of the previous two films, but the third installment is also third best in overall execution.
