Review of Gladiator (1992) by Tor M — 30 Oct 2015
I guess I've seen it as a kid, but I did not recall much of it. It should not count as a re-watch at least. Anyhow, one of the most known films of the last couple of decades. I don't need to go into the plot here since it's so well known.
The excecution is good. Well, the a bit outdated CGI and stuff is OK and I like the production. It's HUGE and it looks HUGE. The acting is solid and it's not a bore still with it's solid playtime. It's very typical and few turns surprize you. I don't symphetize much but I do feel some hate for the (biggest) bad guy.
In short it's some chatting, some fighting, some circling rumours, some fighting... and this goes on the entire playtime. A good film, but far away from my top lists these days.
7.5 out of 10 swords.
