Soderbergh's experiment is an intriguing film. Although it is not soul-searching deep, it does leave behind a mental note and sheds new light about buying intimacy.
21-year old porn star Sasha Grey is most definitely comfortable in front of the camera but her acting is as bland as a porn film, one wonders if a skilled actress would have been better equipped to play the part.
Those hoping for pornography will be sadly disappointed as The Girlfriend Experience is nothing more than an artsy essay on reality.
