Review of Girlfriend Experience (2008) by Ryan L — 07 Oct 2009
Very captivating story, I like how the "story" is told. I do not really like the "high class" settings, Sasha Grey is very good, very much like "herself" on Sasha Grey on Sasha Grey, but more vulnerable.
Typical it is the men that stands for the outer world, and she, the woman, even tho considered a highly intelligent, that can take care of herself, stand for the inner life, wheres her emotions is in focus. Her real asset is her beauty. The men pretend that they want her "inner her", but they are occupied with theeconomy and their status among other men. She they only want to shag, to let her give them the ultimate girlfriend experience.
I think this is the real story, the "it is a depression" storyline, is of no importance, a callgirl gets the same story, low or high times. It is so sad and significant that, when she finds someone that sees her when she had endured a humiliating experience, HER little "adventure" escape is crushed, he never wanted HER, she just got the good feeling cause he was kind to her. I can relate to that..falling "in love" with the first one that, when one are open, talk directly to you. She is stood up, and takes another customer, sharing and caring..
I would have given the movie full 5stars if it had been more direct, this is only my wiev on the movie, but everyone else sees just the "it is a depression" thing, and that Sasha is hot, I think this movie have more, and if it does not reach further than more men wanting to see Sasha Greys porn, the film is not good for 5 stars. It could be me misinterpeting the film...
I think this movie is about power, even her bf, is so sure about her, that even when he knows she will be going away with a client she has feeling for, he goes on his trip having a good time, knowing that she will be there when he comes back.
