Visually gorgeous, a stunning mix of grit and soft beautiful light, the film is a painting in itself. johansson's performance overflows with a timidly voluptuous beauty. the movie is filled with scenes quietly taught with social and sexual tension.
perhaps the most wonderful thing about this movie is its halting restraint, and the rare moments of release which glint within it.
