If you ever wanted to see a female version of cuckoo's nest then this would be it. it has some great acting from all involved and the late 60s era is brought to life real well. I like movies that are based in a certain era.

maybe because movies that are set in this era annoy me. also this movie gives me a warm fuzzy nostalgia feeling of when I first saw it in '99. the massachusetts setting is nicely photographed and winona ryder singing the petula clark song downtown is worth seeing.
