Review of Girl, Interrupted (1999) by Erin B — 31 Dec 2010
Very well told. Winona Ryder did a wonderful job of portraying a confused, disconnected teenager with uncertainties about life and all that lie ahead. I think her character is someone that most of us can relate to at one point or another; being so plagued by regret and doubt, not knowing what is to come or if we will ever be strong enough to face it.
But like Winona's character, there comes a time when you become sick of being afraid and you start to realize that maybe things aren't as complicated or impossible as you make them seem. Maybe you are more capable than you think.
