Review of Ginger Snaps (2000) by Adam M — 01 Jun 2008
Coming-of-age, sibling rivalry, youthful alienation, GORE, a few decent hiccup scares, a little cringe factor, and a couple a' truly decent werewolves. It still amazes me that something so relatively low-budget and obscure does such a good job at surpassing technically "superior" film treatments of the same convention of western horror.
They haven't made a better werewolf film since, and most subsequent attempts didn't compare, either.
