Review of Ginger Snaps (2000) by Paige A — 08 Mar 2010
Okay, so this is my #1 favorite movie of ALL TIME. I do not base movies on special effects or how much it entertains me, I base movies on the story and the characters. There is just something about this movie that draws me in.
Brigitte and Ginger are two of the most memorable movie persona's ever. I think there is a lot to be found in this movie, if you would spend the time to look. I love the message this movie has as well (even though its hard to see).
Even though Ginger turned into a werewolf and tried to kill her own sister, Brigitte still looked for a way to a save her, and when she couldn't she killed her. Brigitte even turned herself into a werewolf in attempts to save her sister.
To me this has a message, no matter how screwed up...love conquers all. How do I get this message? Well, you have to watch all the movies to get it. In the end, no movie on earth can compare to this movie in my eyes.
