Review of Ginger Snaps (2000) by Thomas H — 15 Feb 2011
Now let me start off by saying: "Ginger Snaps" is my all time favorite movie. It was smart, entertaining, funny, and just had a big apeal to me for some reason. Much of which is in the characters which were great.
Ginger Snaps is incredibly cheesy to say the least, but I loved it nonetheless because it didnt take anything from the story at all. Now some people like it because of some metaphor it supposedly had about puberty mixed with becoming a werewolf or something, but I just found that more interesting than understandable as a point, but I guess that other people like it for different reasons than me. I just liked it because it was watchable, appealing, and the characters were very different and somewhat developed.
Ginger Snaps knows how to take a simple story and series of events and just go with them telling the story without stealing other styles and films.
Its hard to explain my love for this as it is most critics to say for their favorite film, so I think I have said enough and I hope you enjoy it.
