Review of Ginger Snaps (2000) by John O — 12 Aug 2011
This is another one I sat down and forced myself to watch I have to agree that it is one of the best modern horror films. But as a male I think its impossible to connect with the characters. Ginger Snaps feels like a chick flick for goths.
With out getting much in to detail I probably wont be watching this movie again. Its mainly about a girl who get her period and a werewolf smells it and bites her. Now she has to go around having her period while turning into a werewolf.
You can certainly argue its never been done before right??? I feel like its on the same level as teeth another movie to make girls afraid of their vagina. I enjoyed how she sexually transferred lycanthrope to a guy, Another STI to be afraid of.
I hope one day I get the chance to show this to my daughter in order to avoid the talk that would be hilarious.
