Review of Gilda (1946) by Kate S — 23 Jun 2007
The plot seemed more contrived and forced for about the last 45 minutes. Rita Hayworth is gorgeous and her performance is quite good overall (especially when she sings "Put the Blame on Mame"), but the sexuality and mystery that was built into her character is killed during her badly choreographed dance numbers.
