Review of Gilda (1946) by Chris H — 27 Jan 2008
The pacing is stodgy and it's overlong, but Rita Hayworth infuses every frame with beauty, glamour and sexuality. Gilda combines risque dialogue, suggestive costume design and wonderful screen chemistry to create a masterful exercise in insinuating without showing.
