Review of Gilda (1946) by Lindsey R — 25 Apr 2009
I heard somewhere Shawshank Redemption was originally called "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" because Rita Hayworth was the poster that covered up the hole in the wall. The scene in Gilda where she flips her hair and says "sure, I'm decent" is claaasic.
Haven't seen this in ages but I remember it as being fantastic if a bit uneven. True old holywood glamour.
