Review of Gilda (1946) by James H — 12 Jun 2007
Rita Hayworth at her most beautiful, most sexy and most alluring. This is her most famous role, perhaps not her best, but she is damn good. The film goes over the top sometimes, but that's also what makes it so enormously appealing.
It is Hayworth's picture all the way. The "Put the Blame On Mame" is one of the sexiest and tantalizing scenes ever filmed. Superb costumes and sets.
