Review of Gilda (1946) by Petros T — 27 Dec 2010
It sets off to become one of the most important dramas in cinema history and does pretty well in fact for about 75 minutes. Then, after running out of all the amazingly witty dialogues, the twists and turns and the clever subplots (such as the spy part of it all), it turns into an extremely cheesy, annoyingly repetitive, pointless mass of ridiculous drama sequences.
Pity.
