Review of Gifted (2017) by Gary J — 20 May 2017

This is after all a DRAMA, not a thriller, or mystery - drama.. That is something a lot of critics don't understand now days. Nothing is too on the nose, and is not too much melodramatic. It gives you a good feel after you finish watching it, so I guess the movie did what it was supposed to.

As for the plot, well it is simple, nice and you don't care about predictable at all because you're driven by the film. All characters are enjoyable and the scenes were amazing.

There was one scene in particular that I really liked, and that was when Frank (the uncle) and Mary (the niece) were out in the sunrise, it has nothing to do with the story, but the setting was amazing and they looked so perfect as they were daughter and father who are so close and loving.

I give all 5 stars because lately I haven't watched a movie from this genre that I enjoyed -and at the same time a movie that moved me so much.
