Review of Giant (1956) by Luiserghio M — 01 Sep 2008
I actually skirted around seeing this for a while... I wasnt sure about the Texan stuff and how long it was. Didnt really matter. Sure I took a break from finishing it, but I'm glad I DID finish it.
I'll tell you now, James Dean and Rock really stand out acting-wise... so talented-- different roles from what I'm used to with them (especially later). Everyone else was wonderful, too. ANYWAY, the story really tackled a LOT for the time.
.. racism, social and money class, drinking, and moving on with your life even if it's not the way you wanted it... in this movie... far from it.
