Review of Giant (1956) by Justin H — 13 Mar 2008
I really was surprised by this movie. Really wasn't expecting it to be about the different ways racism appears in American history. Sure, the representations of Mexican Americans were slightly dated and all, but this was a highly entertaining film with a great heart, and that more than makes up for it.
Rock and Elizabeth T. had some really great chemistry, especially in the bedroom scene after one of their fights. James Dean is entertaining to watch, as usual but his character is slightly unnecessary.
And adorable Sal Mineo makes an appearance too!
