Review of Giant (1956) by Andy C — 27 May 2009
Great story, reminds me of how the West was won, with the setting taking place over a long period of time. Really consuming you you see the characters, esp wondering in the beginning how they would develop, esp jett's (James Dean) I was a little losing interest towards the end during the Grand Ball scene late in to the last quarter of the film, but that last but a moment.
I loved the scene at Sarge's dinner, when dear old Bennedict sticks up for his mixed grand child, as well as the others who are refused service due to race. Really an excellent film. A lot I could say but I'm no critic, just a connoisseur of fine classic films and this is no exception!
