Review of Giant (1956) by Fernando G — 22 Mar 2011
This is one of the most important, if not THE most important, films about Texas history. It subtly in some spots and not so subtly in others, explains how some of the idiosyncrasies of Texas culture today came about during the rough and tumble earliest days of the Republic of Texas.
Its a must-see, a classic that is to the West what Gone with the Wind is to the deep south.
