Review of Giallo? (2009) by Brad G — 21 Oct 2010
For the last 20 years Dario Argento has been trying to recapture the oomph of giallo classics like his own Susperia or The Bird With The Crystal Plumage. Unfortunately, this latest effort falls miserably short with Adrien Brody's troubled (aren't they always?) inspector hot on the heels of a frightfully jaundiced slasher played by Byron Deidra (??? Seriously, who ya foolin' folks ???).
Argento typically relishes in the torture and death of ladies, but the cinematography is flat and uninventive and just leaves ya scratchin' yer head and wonderin' what's the point. Shame. VF.
