Review of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) by Cole M — 19 May 2012
G.I. Joe can be summarized like this: Power Rangers on steroids. Which means, lots of explosions (eye candy i.e.. fun-to-watch action scenes), acting which is decent in parts (the inclusion of Channing Tatum and Dennis Quaid represents the horrible parts), lines which make you want to start tearing at the cinema seats, plot twists which are incredibly, not surprising and bad guys which imitate an already infamous franchise (see Gordon Levitt/Darth Vader here).
Otherwise some of the scenes are amusing, but that is about 10% of the film. So in other words: don't watch it.
