Review of G.I. Joe: The Movie (1987) by Jake S — 18 Oct 2007
Everyone hates Cobra-La. Okay, I get it. But like the 1986 Transformers movie, this film is about the changing of the guard, the coming of the new generation of Joes and foes. Understand that, and you'll enjoy this movie.
And Burgess Meredith plays Golobulous, in a truly stellar performance. Plus--PLUS--you get what is arguably the best "end of fight" speech via Sgt. Slaughter when he beats Nemesis Enforcer. I dare you not to love that speech.
