Review of G.I. Joe: The Movie (1987) by Jack N — 19 Jul 2009
This was the mother of all G.I.Joe cartoons, although in my opinion it isn't as good as the five-part miniseries about the Weather Dominator and the Pyramid of Darkness that marked the pinnacle of the series.
Still, Don Johnson and Burgess Meredith add their talents to the mix, a doomsday scenario plot hatches that makes Al Qaeda look like they throw Pampered Chef parties, and only G.I.Joe can stand against the forces of evil - it's a recipe for a memorable '80s cartoon movie, for sure.
Too bad this also spelled the end of the cartoon series.
