I enjoyed it well enough: Matthew McConaughey remains a thoroughly untalented actor, but he inhabits his typical "narcissistic prick" role very nobly here. Garner is sweet and the storytelling is in the usual mold of the Christmas Carol: a framework I always enjoy.
It's Douglas' role, though, that tilts the film to be "non-rotten".
