Review of Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) by Sholid — 22 Nov 2021
Do not read and listen to critics with their shallow eyes and ears who think it has to be an Oscar winner or nothing (Oscars aren’t even the best movies). This movie carries along the mood and bit of comedy from the originals, rather than trying to be a straight up comedy reboot like 2016. Every moment of this movie was some of the most enjoyable movie time I’ve had in a while. The kid actors were actually a surprising breath of fresh air while still continuing from the originals.
So basically, nothing was disappointing. I didn’t even ask for anything but a sequel, and that’s what we got. Anyone saying the word “reboot” couldn’t be further from the truth.
