Review of Ghost Story (1981) by Julie G — 15 May 2009
This was deemed as one of the worst adaptations, I don't see anything wrong with it. As far as adaptations go, this is a solid adaptations that tries best to be faithful, but left limited characterizations and use of creepy atmosphere, instead the horror focused more on the utter creepiness of Alice Krige.
There wasn't anything wrong with it, sure the effects are outdated--Can people just leave the 80s alone! Just watching againg Fred Astaire and Melvyn Doulgas to do something serious instead of song and dance was a glaore.
A pretty engaging ghost story for those who haven't read the book.
