Review of Ghost Story (1981) by Mike L — 04 Jul 2009

One of the first movies where I came to realize that movies and the books they are based on can be completely different, and not in a good way. I read the Peter Straub novel and thought it was very good and scary so I was excited when I heard about the movie coming out. What I remember most was thinking that the movie was so different than the novel I did not see how they could still call it Ghost Story.

I know the main differences were they left out a major character and changed what the villain was but really the differences would not of mattered if the movie was any good, which it is not.
