Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Tropicalpagan — 09 Apr 2017
Its and entertaining movie with great visuals, but they managed to reduce a thought invoking anime into a mindless popcorn flick devoid of soul.
Johansson's incarnation is on point, if you ignore the obvious whitewashing of the character, and the cheap excuse they give within the movie to justify it. Nevertheless she manages to present a cohesive character. The supporting cast is good too.
All in all, its an entertaining movie, though as I've stated before it lacks the philosophical nuances that made the original so endearing.
