This movie captures the visual essence of the anime expertly and brings it to the big screen. Unfortunately, it turns the anime's thought-provoking content into an extremely simple, bland, and predictable plot/storyline.
What we end up with is a generic, run of the mill sci fi action movie with cool visuals.
