Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Mj E — 28 Jul 2017

I'm a big fan of the anime, and of the franchise overall (SAC, etc.). I thought this was, overall, an impressive re-imagining of the series. I loved the visuals and the world building, and I thought Johansson was great in the role.

Yes, the movie does have its flaws, particularly the simplification of ideas from the anime, but that didn't make it any less enjoyable. It's just a shame that we may not get to explore more of this live action interpretation in future films.
